I believe in extreme ownership where I take ownership in improving my own standards will influence others to work hard as well.

To what degree do you identify yourself with the core values of the company?

By exercising extreme ownership I believe that I align perfectly with the Tradechannels core values. I believe that is why I got attracted to Tradechannel from the beginning. Nicklas Nilsson
Business Analyst in the Business Analyst team

Who are you, what is your job title and how long have you been with TradeChannel?

I’m Nicklas Nilsson, a financial economist who happened to end up in an IT-company as a Business Analyst.

What was your first month in the job like?

Since I’ve only been here for a month I have it in fresh memory. It’s been a month filled with everything from customer meetings, diving into the integrations and basic SQL, somehow learning to use Apple products, a great activity competition to get us physically moving and everything else in between. The learning curve has definitely been steep, and the broad spectrum of tasks this early on has been demanding but also highly rewarding.

How has your job changed since you started working here?

Since I’ve only been around for about a month, not very much at all. But responsibilities and projects are getting more and more diverse and I get the chance to dig deeper and deeper in what we do and how we do it.

What’s a typical working day like for you?

This far I really cannot say there has been a typical day, which in some way makes it typical I suppose. Every day there is something new, either a new issue, a new question from a client, new project etc.

What is your favourite part about working at TradeChannel?

There are two things I can easily single out. First of all the team is phenomenal, everyone at TradeChannel is working towards the same goal. The sense of unity is pervaded through everything from actual work to lunch runs. Everybody is trying their best to lift the spirit of others. Also I really must say the diversity in working with different clients and a lot of different aspects of TradeseC and what the application can do is highly rewarding and something that I’d emphasize as a big part of making this company a great place to work at.

What is special about TradeChannel?

The strive for new, challenging takes on issues or request. No matter how big or small the company always try to find new angles to explore. This really goes hand in hand with the answer above this, challenging as it may be, everybody really strives towards something great.

How do you influence your workplace?

There are many different aspects as to how I influence my workplace. Work wise I have so far been able to steer my tasks into whichever direction I have desired, influencing my own work a lot. As for some kind of more general influence I feel like everyone in the company contributes a lot, everyone is working tightly in projects to ensure quality and influences the company as a whole in that way.

To what degree do you identify yourself with the core values of the company?

It is hard to quantify, but I firmly believe that integrity and quality are what defines a professional relationship regardless if it is colleague to colleague or customer to contractor. I always strive towards accuracy and timely delivery and with a bit of initiative and forward thinking there is a strong possibility that success will come naturally. With that said, I obviously identify with the company core values to a big extent, otherwise I would not be sitting here today.

How do TradeChannel and TradeseC solutions contribute to a better financial environment?

TradeChannel makes it easier for clients to sort data and get a bigger picture. If you narrow it down to one core thing, I’d say TradeseC enables companies to focus on their core strengths. Automatization is key with the technology shift we see today and TradeseC is the drive to do just that.

Do you have any advice for people thinking of applying to work for TradeChannel?

Just jump into the deep end of the pool and do it! If you have what it takes there is a strong chance you will end up doing exactly what you want to do in place where you want to do it. TradeChannel leadership really do care about making the company a great place to work and you can influence your work environment a lot in many different ways.
